William Robinson is recognised as one of Australia’s most important contemporary landscape artists. William Robinson: The Transfigured Landscape, the first major monograph on the artist since 2001, includes both reproductions of, and commentary on, the artist’s twenty-first century works. The work includes essays by prominent curators and writers who have known Robinson for an extended period, or have a considerable familiarity with his work, or both. It was published alongside an exhibition of the same name that was presented at the William Robinson Gallery at Old Government House and at the QUT Art Museum, both at the Garden’s Point campus of the Queensland University of Technology.
