Chips to head and tail of spine, 25mm closed tear without loss to tail, 40mm closed tear without loss to head at back cover; spine gently sunned; mild edgewear and creasing to wraps; edges of text block lightly toned and foxed; covers lightly marked with faint spotting; edges of text block foxed; moderate spotting and age toning to matte pages; contact with water has resulted in cockling and faint marking along the fore edge of the rear gloss pages, gloss pages have also been gently separated with slight tears but without any loss; brown marks to the last three pages of advertising. Art in Australia was an Australian art magazine founded by Sydney Ure Smith and Bertram Stevens and published between 1916 and 1942. Sir Hans Heysen (1877-1968) was a German-born Australian watercolour landscape artist.
