Minor abrasions on hinges near the head and tail of the spine, on the bottom edge and at the corners; gentle spine lean; corners gently rounded; covers are mostly clean and bright, very small (1-2mm) occasional black marks and a light 10mm scratch at the top of the rear board; gilt edges of text block have faint scratches and scuff marks but are mostly bright; black ribbon bookmark has broken off; endpapers gently scuffed, 2mm insect hole in the top right hand corner of the ffep, inscription dated April 16th, 1892 on the recto, previous bookseller’s sticker on rear paste-down; light spotting to the first and last pages, otherwise mostly clean with very occasional spotting throughout.
