Head and tail of spine and corners gently worn; corners gently bruised; minor abrasions to hinges and boards; gilt mostly bright, sun on front cover is a touch dull; fore and bottom edges of text block lightly foxed; sunning to outer edges of endpapers; pages very roughly opened in sections with tears and chips out of pages, loss of text to page 9, however this is still attached to page 11; minor loss of text on p.271; spotting throughout, heavy on some pages while others appear quite clean.
