Grapefruit is an important work in the development and documentation of mid twentieth century conceptual art. It is primarily a collection of performance art scores that reflect Ono's engagement with experimental musician John Cage and owes something to her association with George Maciunas and Fluxus.

First appearing in Japanese (Tokyo,1964), this is the first English translation of Grapefruit.
Provenance: Private collection, Brisbane.
