Special edition of sixty four printed on Whatman's handmade paper of which only forty were for sale. Dark green calf over green leather with single vertical gilt rule and with gilt medallion (repeat of tailpiece) on top cover. Spine and corners recently refurbished and title re-lettered in gilt; some toning to interior leaves with very occasional fox mark; plates are lightly foxed and the paper they are tipped onto is toned; ripple to tail of the leaves. No. 50/64. This is one of the early books from the Fanfrolico Press produced in Sydney before their move to London. Lysistrata was reissued in December 1926 in London in an edition of 725. (Fanfrolicana p.10).
