Octavo; pp (2, blank) xix (xx) 524; 2 plates (V & VI; lacks plates I-IV); text in two columns with border; nonpareil marbled endpapers; a.e. marbled (now almost completely faded); tree calf leather with gilt blocked border in geometric design; five raised bands to spine with gilt floral motif to the panels and gilt lettering on black leather label.

Re-backed with original spine laid back on; corners bumped; leather lifted in a couple of places on top board; marbled endpapers have been repaired at the gutters and the last free endpaper tipped back in back to front; general foxing and toning throughout; FIRST BLANK WITH GIFT INSCRIPTION FROM HENRY PARKES TO H.H.
