The gray portfolio folder has a coloured mounted illustration on the front, with considerable wear along the edges and some foxing, but the folder is altogether. The booklet inside is in good condition with some minor foxing to the first page, otherwise clean. The 24 loose plates are in fine condition. Very good. Item #169
Franz Cizek was professor at the young people's classes of the Industrial Art School in Vienna. He was an Austrian genre and portrait painter, who was best known as a teacher and reformer of art education. He began the Child Art Movement in Vienna, opening the Juvenile Art Class in 1897.
