Rigmarole Press had been founded by Kenny and ran for fourteen years. The ABR news clipping cites Kenny's criticisms of the Literature Board of the time, which were in short that it had become "not a supporter of literature but a supporter of the publishing industry". This chapbook, created the following year, reads as a sharp poke at those who may have contributed to the end of the press, those "pseudo anti-intellectuals" who "admire each other | fingering their paypackets | and tenures" (p 8).
