Stasys Eidrigevi ius is a painter, drawer, book illustrator; poster, bookplate, happening and installation artist. Despite working across media his oeuvre makes a distinctive 'whole' and has been aptly described as 'cheerful through a wise sadness' (Ewa Gorz dek, Centre for Contemporary Art at Ujazdowski Castle, May 2006). With their big-eyes the lonely and anxious faces in Pastele/Pastels are a beautiful example of this quality in his work.
