Although Jim Harrison is probably best known for his novel Legends of the Fall, he was a well acclaimed poet before he started writing fiction. His collections include Plain Song (1965), The Theroy and Practise of Rivers (1989) and Songs of Unreason (2011). Harrison received a Guggenheim Fellowship for his poetry in 1969.
