John Knox (1514-1572) was the leader of Scottish reformation and founder of the Presbyterian Church in Scotland. His history was written in five books between 1559 and 1566. The fifth book was first published in David Buchanan's 1644 edition of Knox's History. The unknown editor of this 1732 edition attributes the fifth book to Buchanan himself.
