First printed in Germany in 1925 this collection of sepia tone photographs features women from around the world. More than twenty six nationalities are represented along with a few "mixed race" examples. Two Australian examples: plate 21 attributed to E. O. Hoppé, London plate 119 attributed to Kerry of Sydney and lent by the Vienna Ethnographis Museum.
A lovely clean copy sadly lacking one plate (one of five photos of the same Czeck model by Dritkol, Prague).
