Some of the poems in this collection were previously published in Blind Dog Press (Australia), Chiron Review, Clark Street Review, Chronogram, Cultural Weekly, Dwang, Scree, the Wormwood Review, Yellow Silk and Longhouse Publishing. Baatz has been publishing poetry since the early 1970s. His poetry has this capacity to go gently to the heart of things, drawing the reader from quiet contemplation to amusement to upwelling tears and then delicately back again to quiet contemplation. This recent collection is no exception.
