The 1930 Victorian Government Gazette records Mssrs Edmondson as supplying Beaverskin and Moleskin to the Victorian Government General Store for Public Service of State Departments. A lovely intimation of early twentieth century trade relations between Australia and Japan. The images of Japan range between urban and rural Japanese landscapes, and are peopled with Buddhist priests, geishas, workmen, and mothers and children among others.
