The 28th or Swan Battalion was a Militia Battalion re-formed in Western Australia in 1939, which spent much of World War II carrying out garrison duty in Western Australia and the Northern Territory. In November 1944 it sailed to New Britain and patrolled Rabaul and the Gazelle Peninsula to confine the Japanese there. They were later responsible for supervising Japanese prisoners. Includes Honour Roll and Nominal Roll.
