The UQ Vanguard Literary Award was a nationwide writing competition established in 2001 with the support of Archives Fine Books and then owner Dr Ross Mack. The 2004 winner was Felicity Catagna with runners-up Felix Calvino, Patrick West and Jo-Anne Whalley.
