Furnley Maurice (Frank Wilmot) printed this book for Devaney at his own private press at home, on suggestion of Vance Palmer. James Martin Devaney (1890-1976) was a fine lyric poet, novelist, journalist and teacher. Earth Kindred was his second collection of poems.
