William Montgomerie Fleming (1874-1961), born in the Wimmera District of Victoria, was a grazier, politician and writer. He published poetry, prose and other contributions in many newspapers including the Bulletin and is best known for his fantasies based on Aboriginal insight and animal lore. (ADB: 8, pp522-523). The first edition of this title is particularly scarce especially in such condition.
