Lady Flo was married to long serving Premier of Queensland Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen. Joh remined Premier for many years through the jerrymander system and was associated with corruption and crime. Lady Flo was a Queensland Senator and famous for her pumpkin scone recipe (not included), copies of which, hand written on her Senate headed paper, were used to raise money for charity. The warm inscriptions in both volumes are to the same couple and are a wedding gift.
