Softcover : pp. [14] 144 : illustrated with 20 drawings by the author : white and red cover illustrated with ''Little Kingfisher on Phallic Snag'' by the author : inscribed on the f.f.e.p., "May 12 '98 / To Kathy / W. and Richard /The last / copy to / good people / billy / (spiral)" : loosely laid in is a signed autograph note dated Feb 14 '94 to Kathy and Richard : also included a further 13 signed autograph letters written between April 20, 1987 and May 29, 1995 (two with artwork) two photos, one newsclipping and one typed poem.

Previous owner (Kathy Wilsteed, granddaughter of Frank C. Francis) was friends with Bill Jones and the letters are warm and full of references to Jones' writing, art and daughter Chloe. The newsclipping is an interview with Jones published by the Courier Mail at the end of April 2006, the day after the launch of his collection Wren Lines. One photo is of a Jones' painting and the other photo is Jones with Kathy W. and Richard. One of the letters (Sept '91) is written on a price list of works by Jones being exhibited at Chapman Gallery, Canberra. Two of the letters have paintings to the verso and one has a large yellow spiral. The typed poem begins " = hitching / to / town" and is on the verso of the letter dated Aug 17 '88.
