The second romance novel by English authoress Ethel May Dell Savage who supported herself and her husband with her writing. Her first novel The Way of An Eagle was published in 1911 and had gone through thirty printings by 1915. The Knave of Diamonds was first published in 1913 and this 1915 copy is the eleventh imprint. In 1921 it was adapted by Stoll Pictures into a silent film of the same title directed by René Plaissetty.
