Hans Wap (b. 1943) is an artist and poet in The Netherlands. The image of the "human-tree" (mensbomen) is motif that Wap developed in his painting practice between 2005 - 2007, culminating in the Artefacten exhibition at Museum Jan van der Togt. The exceptionally small print run (1/4) suggests this was not a commercial print for sale but rather a privately produced edition for friends.
Rosemarie Still translated Wap's poetry into German and in 2008 translated his poem "Turning an elm into a weeping willow"
