Poet Ian Templeman AM established Molonglo Press in Canberra while he was the Assistant Director-General of Public Programs at the National Library of Australia in the 1990. In 1998 he left the NLA to pursue Molonglo full time. Elizabeth Webby recalls, " He published two series of beautifully produced pocket books by Canberra writers, with covers featuring paintings by the artist Romola Templeman, his wife. He also produced some highly attractive greeting cards illustrated by Romola which I remember receiving and later purchasing." (Australian Academy of the Humanities Annual Report 2016-16). The printed illustration on the handwritten note is by Romola Templeman and is from the cover of The Dancing Scorpion by Paul Hetherington (Molonglo Press, 1993).
